The Bali governor of the popular Indonesian island destination said: ‘Bali’s tourism has been stuck for two years and it is the time for recovery’.

This marks a key step in re-opening tourism for Bali and Lombok.

Bali has scrapped quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated arrivals on Monday, allowing foreigners to visit isolation-free for the first time since the pandemic began. Travellers from 23 countries, including the UK, will now be able to skip hotel quarantine, as long as they are fully vaccinated and boosted, have a negative PCR test, and can provide proof of a paid-for hotel booking for at least four days.

Travellers must also take a PCR test on their third day and have proof of health insurance which includes Covid-19 cover.

If the changes prove successful, the popular island destination will open to travellers from the rest of the world on 1 April.
Connecting flights take 20 minutes to Lombok airport which is 20 minutes from Kuta Lombok. 

No PCR or Antigen tests are required to travel domestically now in Indonesia.

Bali governor I Wayan Koster said on Friday: “We have to offer competitive travelling rules for overseas tourists as other countries have opened their tourism sector earlier.

“Bali’s tourism has been stuck for two years and it is the time for recovery.”

The move comes as dozens of other countries around the world announce an end to all travel restrictions. Keep checking daily as policies are subject to last-minute changes however things are looking up for people wanting to visit Bali and Lombok.
