Beachclubs & Bars
Not known for its nightlife, Kuta Lombok has some surprisingly upbeat venues for sucking back the drinks and breaking out the bikini.
MANDALIKA BEACH CLUB
The newest on the scene and the closest and most impressive club in Kuta. Great for all-day and evenings and a very short drive or pleasant walk into town.
SURFERS BAR
The original sandy late night spot in Kuta Lombok, live music, cold bintangs and good times. Avoid the cocktails for hangover mitigation.
All of the restaurants listed here are a short (under 10mins Walk) or 5 minute scooter or car ride from Villa Amani Lombok.
Surf, Sea & Sand
Lombok needs no introduction as one of the worlds best locations for unspoilt beaches, epic surf and rugged natural landscapes.
TANJUNG ANN
A lovely pair of horseshoe shaped white sand beaches with clean blue water. Perfect for swimming and relaxing with many warungs and beachside bars. A great longboard or mall wave and fantastic for beginner and intermediate surfers. Check out Warung Turtle for great seafood and coconuts.
MAWUN
A secret bay enveloped in rugged hillsides, perfect for swimming and chilling out, not as many eateries as Tanjung Ann but a quieter more secluded spot. Wave works on certain tides and swells.
SELONG BELANAK
The famous buffalo beach that hosts a number of restaurants and bars and a wide stretch of untouched beach. Perfect for swimming and learning to surf surrounded by dramatic beauty. Laut Biru is a nice upscale restaurant on the beach.
SEGER
Close to Kuta the beach is good for medium to advanced surfers but also hosts a nice beach and dramatic hilltop vantage points that are perfect for the sunset.
MANDALIKA
Pedestrianised beach on the edge of Kuta town, good for swimming on a higher tide and great for running and activities. Popular for kite boarding in season.
ARE GULING
A surf beach that features lovely coastal walks and rock scrambling on a lower tide. A few warungs and vantage points to watch the surfing.
GERUPUK
A number of beaches surrounding the fishing town and surf that is accessible by boat from the town. A good beginner and intermediate wave.
MAWUN
A secret bay enveloped in rugged hillsides, perfect for swimming and chilling out, not as many eateries as Tanjung Ann but a quieter more secluded spot.
MAWI
Remote bay and beach that offers dramatic scenery and an adventurous drive in! Its a wave that works for intermediate and advanced surfers and because of the tides we don’t advise swimming here.
SERANGAN
Lovely beach with a few higher end restaurants, quite strong currents so be careful when swimming. Serangan is a great rainy-season surf spot. There’s almost always rideable surf, there’s several different peaks, and it breaks on almost any tide.
EKAS
A sheltered reef break that has quite reliable surf. Inside is fun for longboards and beginners and outsides requires some more experience.
DESSERT POINT
A bit far from Kuta but we have to mention it. Desert Point is hands-down one of the world’s best waves, and also one of the world’s most fickle, demanding a giant groundswell before it even thinks about breaking.
Diving & Fishing
Many dive operators can assist you in trips and certifications from Kuta Lombok.
CORAL GARDEN
Beautiful soft corals blanketing a shallow reef of 10-12metres. The plateau slopes down off into the deep blue +40m for sightings of passing pelagic fish such as skipjack tunas and Spanish mackerel.
HALWAY HOUSE
Halfway House heads towards Tanjung Ringgit’s most South Eastern tip of Lombok. Sumbawa can be seen just across the Alas Strait where we have a comparable dive site called Les Arches. This is an experienced divers’ playground.
MANDARIN
It’s what it says on the tin. The mandarin fish, part of the dragonet family, is probably the most colourful fish in the sea. They are hidden within some of the healthiest staghorn corals around.
EAGLE ROCK
Gets its name from the massive fish eagle that we commonly see soaring above the tall island walls. It’s local name is Batu Pilar, meaning pillar of rock. It has some amazing topography with a swim through arch-cave, donut swim through a techno coloured coral wall.

WALKING & TRECKING
An abundance of treks that get you closer to nature and Lomboks rugged beauty. From waterfalls, monkey forests and rice terraces, the team at the villa can help you arrange.
MOUNT RINJANI
3 hours from Amani a good two day trip to scale one of Indonesia’s tallest volcanos.
SEMBALUN
Beautiful hiking and views of Rinjani and the surrounding landscapes, a 3 hour drive from Villa Amani.
SKATEBOARDING
A number of bowls and skateparks around Kuta Lombok.
SASAK VILLAGE
A number of traditional villages close to Kuta Lombok allow guests a unique insight into Sasak culture and life.
PINK BEACH
One of Lomboks wonders, a 2 hour drive from Kuta to view the unique pink coral beach featured in many instagrams and movies.
MANDALIKA STREET CIRCUIT
World famous new motosports track in Mandalika offers a variety of private hire track experiences when racing is not happening.
KITE BOARDING
Fantastic kite boarding along the Mandalika and Tanjung Ann beaches, check online for rental and instructions.
Staying in Shape
TENNIS & PADEL COURTS
There are three Padel Courts and 1 Tennis Court a short drive from Kuta at Tampah Hills estate. Courts can be rented by the hour.

Kuta boasts some amazing road running along the town from the Villa and a vast array of costal trail runs and beach runs in all directions. We shall be updating a runners guide shortly to the website.

Home-made community style gym on the beach that offers drop in passes. Lofi but fun and great crowd.
BASKETBALL COURT
Small five a side basketball courts located at the Mandalika pedestrian area, free to use.
